Historic Preservation / Restoration

One of the most interesting aspects of historic architecture is that each building is unique and possesses a multitude of secrets that can be unlocked through research, survey, and diligent documentation. Every historic structure has a unique set of characteristics, including materials, features, finishes and construction techniques. Our team identifies these characteristics and develops a preservation strategy to preserve the historic character of the building while making them structurally sound, energy-efficient, and adapted to modern needs. As historic restoration specialists it is our mission to preserve old buildings that have historical and cultural value. We work to apply the best restoration and preservation techniques that won’t compromise a building’s original materials, structure, cultural aspects, or design. We approach each historic preservation and restoration project within the framework of the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. These standards offer general design and technical recommendations for treatment of Historic Properties.
