Since 1889, CSHQA designers have been passionate about creating healthy, sustainable, high quality buildings, both inside and out. We design for aesthetics, performance, functionality, durability, and energy efficiency. However, it’s not enough to meet basic needs with functional spaces. We do more.
CSHQA designs buildings and spaces that inspire the people who use them.
We ask ourselves, Will this design perform in the best interest of the users? Does the hospital support the medical staff and improve patient care? Does the school allow teachers flexibility while keeping students safe and engaged? Is the municipal building comfortable to work in, easy to maintain, and attractive and intuitive to navigate for the public?
Integrated Design Services
CSHQA provides fully-integrated design services, from master planning and entitlements to programming and design to bidding and construction administration. Our designers work in studios focused on aviation, civic, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, K-12 and higher education, multi-family, recreation, and retail practices.
We are resourceful, technical and precise. Our high-quality documents and highly constructible drawings reduce change orders. We design in BIM and Revit across all disciplines and provide detailed renderings for project development purposes.
We are leaders and innovators. Our Boise office is the largest commercial building in the state to use both radiant heating and cooling, and in one facility alone we have installed, tested and evaluated 27 different LED light fixtures.
Materials change, technologies change, preferences change. Since our original founder, William S. Campbell, designed the historic Idanha Hotel in a French Chateau style using local bricks and native Idaho granite in 1901, CSHQA architects have balanced beautiful with practical, current fashion with enduring style, and innovation with proven methods.
