Scott Hopkins developed an interest in preservation after reading a newspaper article about a historic house in Boise’s Hyde Park neighborhood slated for demolition. As he learned more about architectural history, his appreciation for good design grew. Now a senior architect and principal, Scott designs durable, affordable housing built to last for future generations. As a LEED Accredited Professional, he guides fellow architects through sustainable design certification requirements and processes, ensuring environmentally responsible buildings.
For Scott, the best projects begin with clear goals and expectations. He excels at bringing project partners together around what inspires them, aligning efforts toward successful outcomes. He seeks common values to foster collaboration and approaches tough decisions with honesty, offering options rather than highlighting problems.
