Facial Aesthetics has grown into one of Colorado’s most recognized aesthetic and wellness practices, with clinics across Colorado and Arizona. As the brand has expanded, it has turned to CSHQA to design tenant improvements that give each new location the specialized environment a medical spa requires—without losing the calm, welcoming feel patients expect.
Turning retail space into a working med spa
Most of these clinics begin as vacant or former-tenant retail spaces. In Highlands Ranch, CSHQA’s Denver studio converted a former Massage Envy in the Target shopping center near Sergeant Jon Stiles Drive and Highlands Ranch Parkway into a 2,925-square-foot medical spa. Working from the previous tenant’s plans and coordinating with general contractor CODA Construction Group, the team designed reception, treatment rooms, offices, a break room, laundry, and restrooms, and specified the utility upgrades needed to support skincare, injectable, and laser equipment. kVA Consulting provided mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineering.
Designed for medical function and guest comfort
A med spa must do two things at once: meet the technical requirements of clinical treatments and feel like a space people want to spend time in. CSHQA’s plan pairs a retail-forward front of house—a dark wood-veneer reception desk, a lounge of swivel chairs, and an illuminated skincare display wall under storefront glazing—with treatment rooms built for the work: aesthetics rooms with sinks and casework, and procedure rooms with powered chairs, task lighting, and dedicated power and plumbing. Light wood-look flooring, white casework, warm metals, and a soft mauve accent wall keep the clinical program from reading as clinical.

The Highlands Ranch location was named Best Wellness Center and Best Waxing Services in Colorado Community Media’s 2026 Best of the Best—recognition that reflects both the care Facial Aesthetics provides and the space built to deliver it.
