Boise-based Oppenheimer Development Corp. and Bozeman, MT-based Nest Partners hired CSHQA to renovate an old 1960s motor lodge into a new hotel with a completely new look and vibe—The Sparrow; a basecamp for people to visit and explore Boise.
The hotel was carefully designed to capture the charm of downtown Boise while highlighting the Treasure Valley’s unique qualities. Each guestroom is uniquely styled and features local infographic-style artwork. Bathrooms feature walk-in showers and sliding barn doors, a nod to Idaho’s agricultural roots, in addition to all the other comfortable amenities expected of a unique boutique hotel. The hotel’s exterior was fully refreshed with new paint and finishes and features an outdoor wood-burning fireplace situated on an open-air patio that overlooks Grove Street in downtown Boise—easily within walking distance to all the best local restaurants, bars, and shops. However, if you’re looking for a bite to eat, you won’t have to travel far as there is a food truck spot on the patio and local coffee shop, Form & Function, right inside the hotel’s lobby.
As a pet-friendly hotel, The Sparrow proudly encourages guests to bring their furry family members along for the adventure and will provide dog-friendly amenities.
