CSHQA is pleased to announce that Steve Wakeman, AIA, NCARB is now a Principal Stockholder with CSHQA. Steve first joined the firm for the summer of 1976 as a student intern. After graduating from the University of Washington in 1980, he worked for a couple of Boise firms before returning to CSHQA as an Intern Architect in 1983. In 1985, Steve left for the University of Illinois to get his Masters in Architecture. Between 1988 and 2003, he worked for several firms in Chicago. His work there took him all over the U.S., into Canada, to Europe, and Asia. During that time, he became a specialist in the design of aviation facilities, which is what brought him back to Boise when he rejoined CSHQA in 2003 as part of our Aviation Design Studio. In 2011, Steve relocated to Sacramento, CA to expand our aviation studio to new markets. Early in 2015, Steve became a Senior Associate Stockholder with the company and several months later, took over the management of our Sacramento office. Since moving to California Steve has expanded his repertoire to include retail as well as aviation projects.
Steve is a licensed Architect in California, Idaho and Illinois and is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA); the Association of California Airports (ACA); the Southwest Chapter of American Association of Airport Executives (SWAAAE); the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE); and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
