Tyler McCurdy has always viewed architecture as a bridge between what exists and what is possible, shaping how people experience their surroundings through the built environment. Growing up in Boise and the Pacific Northwest taught him to value the natural world and recognize our responsibility as architects and designers to approach our work with empathy for both people and the environment.
As an AIT III, he is responsible for design, project coordination, construction documentation, and architectural visualization. What drives him most is collaborating with colleagues who share his passion for design, are eager to push boundaries, and are committed to creating spaces that enhance people’s experiences. That collective energy is what motivates him every day. “The lasting impact on individuals, society, and the environment continues to inspire my love for design and architecture.”
Before joining CSHQA, Tyler served as a project lead on the Barber Station Law Office in Boise, Idaho. The team focused on delivering a high-quality, modern, and holistic approach. They drew inspiration from the area’s architectural character, balancing contemporary forms with natural materials to create a timeless, contextually grounded presence.
Outside the office, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife, baby girl, and their two black labs. You’ll find them exploring the Boise Greenbelt, discovering local restaurants, and traveling whenever they can.
