Sasha Rubinshteyn, an AIT III in CSHQA’s Boise office grew up watching HGTV, which inspired her early interest in interior design. She even wanted her own design show when she was younger. As she traveled a bit, she learned to really appreciate buildings and their unique forms. Architecture became very intriguing and she felt it may open more doors within the design industry. In addition to architecture, she plans to expand her knowledge of interior design and historic preservation as she assists the CSHQA team.
Sasha loves working on a team and strives to be a good team player. “Being able to freely communicate and foster great work relationships is important to me. Having those great connections helps me enjoy the project and stay motivated and excited throughout.” Innovation and creativity also fire her up. If a project presents a cool concept or opportunity to learn from, she becomes more excited about it.
Her favorite project/experience in college was Oregon BILDS 5. Her studio team designed and drafted a single-family house plan, including construction documents. The following year she was able to take part in the construction and real time assembly of the house! It was amazing to be able to see the project from start to finish and put her own mark on the finishing touches of it all.
Sasha absolutely loves her dog Mia, after adopting her a couple years ago Sasha’s life changed for the better. She became more active and started spending more time outdoors exploring – hiking, camping, discovering lakes, etc. She also loves photography and trying out different camera lenses.
