Sandy Irvine

Senior Project Manager / Senior Associate

Sandy Irvine took an indirect path into Architecture; after high school, she moved to Idaho and obtained a job for the Community Action Agency in Eastern Idaho weatherizing homes for low-income families. While her role was working with bidding and purchasing inventory controls, the installation crew decided to give her an additional responsibility: creeping through crawlspaces to install insulation. Although Sandy wasn’t the biggest fan of getting under houses, she did learn that she loved the technical aspects of construction and watching a building constructed from the ground up; so she decided to move to Boise and enroll in Boise State’s Construction Management program.

As a Senior Project Manager and Associate at CSHQA, Sandy keeps a lot of plates spinning—handling client relations while coordinating team members on multiple projects. As a task-driven individual, she enjoys the challenge of mentoring and leading a team while also finding resources for any potential issues that need to be resolved. Her years of experience in different roles have taught her that when it comes to project challenges, it’s the relationship between the client and their team that creates a positive customer experience. For Sandy, building those relationships and maintaining a high standard of service is what gives her the most satisfaction in her job.

One of Sandy’s most robust and challenging projects was a nationwide launch for a new client, which meant the transformation of nearly 2,000 existing retail spaces into new stores for the client. “It was a highly orchestrated event, engaging multiple co-workers, dispatched to 35+ states to facilitate the as-built drawings needed to rebrand the spaces for the client.”

When she’s not working, you can usually find Sandy in her happy place… which is anywhere in or around water! Sandy has also spent most of her life golfing and enjoys the challenge each new course brings. However, her favorite thing to do is spend time with her daughter when she visits from college.
