Rod Ludlow

Senior Electrical Engineering Designer

Rod Ludlow grew up in construction. His father owned a retail business selling and working with construction materials, and as a result, Rod spent many days wielding hammers, screwdrivers, nail guns, and a myriad of other tools. While in college, his love of building expanded into engineering, guided by an excellent professor who saw his potential. Rod now works as a Senior Electrical Designer at CSHQA’s Boise office collaborating with the architects and engineers on projects and troubleshooting any design issues before and during construction; this includes field verification to survey existing conditions, creating construction documents, and coordinating contracts for new work.

Some of Rod’s favorite projects center around work on the Boise Airport Terminal including a major expansion and renovation. Projects at Boise Airport have consumed a good portion of his career with CSHQA, but he has been thankful for the opportunity to learn from excellent mentors and to share his skills with others.

When he’s not designing electrical systems, you can find Rod working on his cars, off-roading with his friends, riding his Harley Davidson, or out on camping and hunting trips.
