Marissa McKinney discovered her passion for interior design while living abroad, where she gained insight into diverse architectural cultures and lifestyles. As an Interior Designer at CSHQA, she focuses on creating spaces that inspire creativity and tranquility. “I love bright and colorful spaces that will be loved and enjoyed for years to come. Bland grey boxes are a thing of the past.”
Currently, Marissa works on multiple CSHQA projects, including several at Woodstone in Eagle, Idaho. Her career began as lead designer for the Belgrade Library and Community Center in Belgrade, Montana—her first post-college project. “Being able to bring creative, playful, and bright spaces to life for a community with limited resources has been a highlight of my career.”
When not designing, Marissa enjoys camping and backpacking. She spends summer days by the river reading with her dog Lucy. “Being unplugged and in nature is the only thing that keeps me grounded and helps me reset and recharge.”
