Kristin D’Strana’s interest in architecture surfaced at an early age. When she was ten, she wanted to add a cat or two to the family home and designed and drew a cat tree to scale on graph paper. For almost 20 years now, she has been learning, using, and training Revit, specializing in custom family-to-schedule integration. “I love getting to work in Revit all day!” Her role as CSHQA’s BIM Manager allows her to do just that. She is an integral part of the design team, leading, coordinating and managing the overall implementation of BIM and related technology needed for full BIM integration with CSHQA’s projects.
Over the years, she has worked on various projects, including education, religion, government, healthcare, office, hospitality, and retail. Two projects in the Denver-Fort Worth area stand out from the rest. “I built them in Revit from scratch, completely solo, producing the entire architectural set of drawings. I also led construction administration for the full construction phase.”
When the weather is nice, Kristin enjoys a glass of wine or a whiskey cocktail with friends and family on the patio. At home, she likes to repurpose old cabinets she finds into fully bioactive terrariums.
