Jefferson Yu, Senior Project Manager, brings nearly three decades of design experience across civic, educational, and community projects to the firm. What fulfills him most? Seeing people’s faces light up as they inhabit a finished space. “There’s nothing more rewarding than knowing the spaces I helped shape bring comfort, delight, and happiness to those who use them,” Jefferson says. “Architecture lets me bring my passion for drawing and design to life in a way that truly makes a difference.”
Jefferson guides projects from start to finish, working with teams and navigating regulations to keep everything on track. But beyond the buildings, he finds fulfillment in building relationships within the project team, from clients to contractors to the community. He’s dedicated to making sure all voices are heard.
Before joining CSHQA, he worked on five fire department projects for Fremont Fire Department, specifically Fire Stations 2, 6, 8, 11 and a new training center. These projects not only reflect his commitment to delivering high-quality, functional spaces but also demonstrate the strong relationships and trust built with the department and community—creating facilities that support the vital work of first responders and are integral to their neighborhoods.
When he’s not managing projects, Jefferson lives by what he calls the “Four Fs”: Faith, family, friends, and, if he’s being
honest, food.
