Tonight, 2,500 senior citizens will go to sleep in an assisted care center that Dave Davies designed. Tomorrow, 5,000 students will enter a school building he helped create. Around 1,500 people will seek care in one of the clinics or hospital departments he worked on. Those numbers keep this architect fired up, and have for more than 35 years.
A Senior Architect and project manager with CSHQA, Dave works closely with principals and design teams to create government, education, and health care facilities. His experience in health care design goes back to the very start of his career, when his father asked him to design a new corporate headquarters for his home health, durable medical equipment, and compounding pharmacy business. The experience not only drew him closer to his father, but set him on a path that he still follows today.
Travel is Dave’s middle name. He’s also an accomplished oil painter; in fact, his works have been on display in CSHQA’s lobby. He is also passionate about education and has served as a school board member.
