Brady Renner’s passion for design dates back to his elementary school days! When he was in the 4th grade, he got an opportunity to design a new layout for his room, so he grabbed some tracing paper and a straight edge and never looked back.
Still using the tools of the trade, Brady is now a Senior Architect III in CSHQA’s California office with 15 years under his belt. He helps coordinate projects through schematic design through construction administration, documenting each step along the way. His main focus is on project management and ensuring business operations are efficient; he learned long ago that you can’t improve what you can’t measure, so good analysis always starts with good data! As a self-proclaimed spreadsheet nerd, Brady says if there’s something that could use a spreadsheet, you can bet he’s going to build one.
Recently, he was able to design the PA and Dental program buildings in Sacramento for the University of the Pacific. The designs were complex and challenging, but Brady enjoyed working on them. “They are providing excellent services through the school to the surrounding community and have revitalized some great older buildings in a growing part of town.”
One of Brady’s favorite projects was a pro bono job for a Texas dog rescue where his wife adopted a dog. Construction has been slow since the funds are all donation-based, but that hasn’t slowed down Brady’s passion for the project, which opens June of 2024.
As recent additions to the State of California, Brady and his wife enjoy exploring all the Golden State has to offer. When he isn’t traveling, you can find him working on home renovations, listening to music, or his favorite pastime—spending time with his wife and dogs, which are the most important relationships in his life.
