New Whole Foods Market Achieves EPA’s Highest Award for Green Refrigeration and Earns Green Globes Certification

Jun 2, 2011

CSHQA is pleased to announce the sustainable achievements of its latest retail project. The new Whole Foods Market in Trolley Square in Salt Lake City is not only the first supermarket in Utah to earn the prestigious EPA GreenChill Award, but it also achieved a three-globes rating from the Green Building Institute. The store, which opened in March, is the anchor for the Trolley Square shopping center’s $60-million revitalization project developed by ScanlanKemperBard Companies. CSHQA, a Boise, ID-based architecture and engineering firm, worked closely with the Whole Foods Market Rocky Mountain Region team and general contractor Engineered Structures, Inc. (ESI) to complete the interior build-out of the new 46,300-SF store.
