Owen Crowley grew up on job sites, working on home renovations with his dad. This early, hands-on education led him to join the interior architecture and design program at the University of Idaho and, ultimately, to a career. Born and raised in Idaho, he set out to design for Idaho, in Idaho, and joined CSHQA’s Boise office in 2026 after earning his degree.
Owen approaches every project with the same principle: he begins with the people who will use the space. For him, a beautiful building that lacks functionality is not a complete design. He sees architects as stewards of the built environment, responsible for creating spaces that serve the community long after the project is finished, and for leaving each site in better condition than he found it.
His days move between the technical and the creative, and that range keeps the work interesting. Owen values clients who bring clear goals because a defined challenge raises the stakes and makes the finished project more rewarding for the whole team. Colleagues know him as someone who shows up energized and genuinely invested; quiet at first, then hard to stop once the conversation gets going.
Outside the office, Owen is happiest outdoors with friends, whether golfing, fishing, boating, or skiing through Idaho winters.
