Northern Arizona University Aquatic & Tennis Complex

Flagstaff, Arizona

The 120,000-SF Aquatic & Tennis Complex (ATC) is located at the intersection of San Francisco and McCreary Streets along the north campus border. The site was the former home to a recreational outdoor sports field, an on-grade parking lot and the Wall Aquatic Center. The program for the Aquatic Center was developed in early 2013, along with a target construction budget of $20 million. During programming, the Tennis Center project was added to the site, creating a single building housing aquatic and tennis functions. As the Associate Architect, CSHQA was responsible for design of the Tennis Center, coordinating all site development, and shared construction administration working in conjunction with Denver architects, Sink Combs Dethlefs (SCD). This facility received a LEED® Gold certification in November 2016 from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
