Ada County Civic Plaza Tenant Improvement

Boise, Idaho

CSHQA provided architectural, interior design, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and LEED® documentation services through the programming, design, and construction administration phases of two tenant improvement projects for Ada County. The Ada County Assessor’s and the Ada County Indigent Services Department’s new office spaces are located in what were previously empty retail spaces on the ground floor of the Ada County Civic Plaza, a public parking garage and apartment complex.

Sustainable Design Notes
Both the Assessor’s office space of 14,500 sf and the Indigent Services’ space of 12,500 sf earned LEED-CI® Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. These two offices are separate tenant spaces within the same structure, but are united by the use of a similar palette of sustainable design concepts, materials, products, and furnishings. LEED® strategies provide a healthy and comfortable environment for the employees and the public that use these facilities:

  • New materials with recycled content
  • Low-emitting materials
  • Bicycle storage and changing rooms
  • On-site green education center
  • On-site storage & collection of recyclables
  • Construction-waste management
  • Day lighting and views
  • Highly-efficient water fixtures
  • ENERGYSTAR® appliances
  • High-efficiency heating and cooling
  • Compact fluorescent lamps
  • Certified wood
