This proposed development was designed to create a landmark building and set a new standard for apartment residential living in downtown Boise. The Capital City Development Corporation site is ideally situated along a primary pedestrian and bicycle corridor between the downtown core and the Boise River. It is also located at the prominent and highly visible intersection of 9th and River streets.
The concept included 150 high quality apartments in conjunction with a parking structure and ground floor retail space. The proposed building was approximately 90 feet tall and a full block in length. Because of its size, the design created the appearance of three buildings of differing, yet integrated, character.
Street-level seating areas, green landscape elements, and outdoor seating for a restaurant/café created pedestrian scale and contributed to the lively and magnetic environment.
