Stephanie Chimonas, AIA, PMP

Project Architect II / Associate

While touring art schools, Stephanie Chimonas’ group visited WSU’s campus. As they walked through the Architecture building, she immediately knew that was the place for her. She changed her original plan to pursue graphic design about a month before school started.

As a Project Architect II in CSHQA’s Boise office she provides architectural support on various project types. Her experience includes tenant improvements for mixed-use, commercial, and public office, and retail clients. This includes remodels and modifications for public entities such as the Idaho Department of Public Works, the Idaho State Capitol, and federal buildings in Idaho and Wyoming. She has also completed projects for the General Services Administration and contributed to several new retail projects in the Boise area.

Her favorite thing about her job is interacting with clients and coworkers. “It’s so satisfying to help a client’s ideas come to life and give them a space that exceeds their expectations.” she said. She also loves to develop diagrams and high-quality renders for clients. Prior to joining CSHQA, Stephanie focused on retail design, primarily with prototypes. She worked at Starbucks as a member of their Pacific Northwest Design team designing coffee shops in Washington and Oregon.

Stephanie does the NY Times crossword (almost) every day. She loves coffee, and backpacking with her coonhound, Molly, and yes, she has pet rats and insists they make great pets!
