Marie Owens’ father, a general contractor, gave her plenty of exposure to the world of business and construction. Her father worked with CSHQA’s mid-century founders (Ike Wayland, Glen Cline and Neil Smull) on some of Boise’s well know landmarks. Years later Marie was employed by Ada County where she worked with Glen Cline and Jeff Shneider who were the architects on Ada County’s new Administration Building. It was there she told a co-worker that she would like to work at CSHQA someday—that was 40 years ago.

Marie joined CSHQA 30 years ago and is a Senior Business Development Coordinator where she prepares numerous proposals and marketing materials. She served as an Ada County Commissioner and knows the inner workings of government well.  Her experience in both public and private sectors have given her an overall perspective of business and the development process.

Marie has a deep love for her family—and her 22 grandchildren keep her busy. She likes to travel, serves in church, plans family activities, works on family history, and is committed to never stop learning.
