Jerry Blommer’s high school drafting teacher sparked his love for drawing, but it was his first boss who taught him how to give his work depth. He has used those skills for 39 years as a Project Architect, and now handles oversight and quality control of CSHQA’s construction document preparation and construction administration for the Sacramento office.
His most rewarding project was also one of his most complex: A heart valve manufacturing facility with viewing windows for visiting surgeons and a display area. The design had to incorporate clean rooms, including detailed mechanical systems, process piping, and space for chemical mixing.
In his off hours, Jerry loves to work in the garden, play with his 9-year-old yellow lab, or go camping or cycling.
