CSHQA has promoted Mandie Brozo and Peggy Schindler from Associate to Senior Associate, and has welcomed Heather Giacomo, PE; Andres Vasquez; Andrew Lauda, AIA; Jackson Goss; Lee Young; and Tim Sievers to the firm’s Associate group. These individuals have shown a high level of expertise, and commitment, and will be able to further hone their leadership knowledge with the promotion to these roles.
CSHQA Associates Group Gains New Members
In the Associate role, team members take on additional responsibilities and help supervise projects; they will work with other team leadership positions in conveying firm guidelines and making sure client needs are met. Associates focus on helping to enhance the office atmosphere, advancing company standards, providing feedback to leadership, increasing communication between all levels of staff, participating in community outreach, and more. These new Associates will join Laura Davidson, Stephanie Chimonas, and Jorge Basulto, who had previously been promoted to the role.
Heather joined the firm in 2016 as an Engineer in Training and was promoted to Electrical Engineer IV in 2022. For nearly a decade, she has worked on projects in a variety of different sectors including retail and office spaces, hospitality, and restaurants; she frequently serves as an engineering project lead coordinating various project aspects such as power infrastructure and distribution along with lighting. She is a licensed engineer in Idaho, Montana, North Carolina, and Oregon and is a part of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, Model Law Engineer (NCEES MLE); she is also affiliated with Idaho Design Lab (IDL). Heather attended Montana State University, Bozeman for Electrical Engineering, and has a degree in history from California State University, Sacramento.
Andres joined the firm in 2013 as an Administrator and moved to an Architect position in 2014. He has spent the last decade working on many impactful projects in several different industries including aviation, office spaces, and housing; his accrued years of experience include project management support, assisting with modeling, drafting, and preparing documentation for construction. Andres is a licensed architect in Idaho and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He also is affiliated with the Boise Airport – Security Identification Display Area (Badge) (SIDA), and Idaho Airport Management Association (IAMA). Andres received his Masters in Architecture from the University of Idaho.
Andrew joined the firm in 2013 as an Architect in Training, after a brief period away, he was rehired in 2021 as a Senior Architect. With over a decade of experience working on different project types in several sectors, ranging from healthcare and education to retail and hospitality, Andrew has shown expertise from schematic design all the way through construction administration. He is a licensed architect in Idaho and is certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He also is affiliated with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Urban Land Institute (ULI). Andrew received his Bachelor of Science and Masters in Architecture from the University of Idaho.
Jackson joined the firm in 2021 as a Project Manager. He has spent thirteen years working on projects for education, military, and federal use, and has shown high capabilities in strategic long-range planning, change management, team building, and leadership development. Jackson is a licensed Engineering Intern (EIT) in Florida and is certified with Secret Security Clearance. He is also affiliated with the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). Jackson received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Central Florida, and his Masters in Management and Leadership from Liberty University.saz
Lee joined the firm in 1998 as a Senior Cad Tech, was promoted to job captain in 2000, an Architectural Designer in 2002, a Senior Architectural Designer in 2015, and then a Project Manager in 2020. In that time, he has designed, coordinated, and managed projects from the design development stage through completion. Lee received his Associate of Applied Science in Drafting Technology from Boise State University.
Tim joined the firm in 2000 as an Architect in Training, was promoted to Project Manager in 2005, and then a Senior Project Manager in 2021. For over two decades, he has worked on projects on the local and national scale in many different sectors including education, retail, and healthcare. He received his Associate of Applied Science in Drafting from the College of Southern Idaho and his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Idaho.
Brozo and Schindler Join CSHQA Senior Associates
As Senior Associates, Mandie and Peggy will collaborate with their team members and ensure that client needs are carried out to the highest possible degree. Using their years of experience and expertise, they will help manage the teams’ leadership direction and provide guidance in adhering to CSHQA’s mission. They will join Kyle Hemly, Jesse Walker, Jeff Ward, Jason Cline, Dave Davies, and Charlie Nattland who already hold Senior Associate positions. Senior Associates have five or more years of experience in their field and work to execute organizational plans, define and discuss information and policies, actively participate in organizations and strategic planning, and guide and direct other staff.
Mandie joined the firm in 2007 as an Architect in Training, became an Architectural Designer in 2017, and after several consecutive years of promotions, she became a Senior Project Manager in 2022. She has worked for nearly two decades on a robust portfolio of different projects in several different sectors including retail and restaurant, corporate and office, and hospitality/entertainment spaces; her main areas of expertise include 3D computer modeling and schematic design development. She is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is affiliated with the CES Provider, American Institute of Architects (AIA CES), Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF), and was a 2023 Women’s & Children’s Alliance (WCA) TWIN Award Honoree. The 2023 Boise Young Professional of the Year, Mandie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Design and her Masters in Architecture from North Dakota State University, Fargo.
Peggy joined the firm in 2017 as a Project Manager, and in 2022 she was promoted to Senior Project Manager. An Associate with CSHQA since 2019, she has more than three decades of experience specializing in restaurant design and has created hundreds of restaurants across the country; in addition, she has worked on projects in the hospitality/entertainment, retail, and corporate office sectors. She is affiliated with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Colorado Restaurant Association (CRA), and the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF). Peggy received her Bachelor of Science in Design with Interior Architecture Accreditation from the University of Cincinnati.

As employees celebrated the announcement, they also enjoyed the unveiling of a new ping-pong table in the Boise office. Lunch was catered by Life’s Kitchen, a local eatery and former client of CSHQA.
