US Bank Plaza Tenant Improvements

CSHQA provided tenant improvement planning and design services for the 19-story US Bank Building for a period of more than 10 years and 30 projects.

The most difficult, because it was on a 300-ft highrise, was replacing the original roof with an energy efficient, TPO high performance membrane.  Due to the prohibitive cost and street obstruction of placing a crane at ground level, new roofing materials had to be taken up the service elevator then carried up one floor to the roof.

Most notable, because it is open to the public, was the main floor lobby remodel.  Improvements were made to the entry vestibule, interior lobby, elevator lobby and public restrooms on the ground floor. A storefront system was replaced with a dark bronze system to match the rest of the building and the plan layout was simplified. The main lobby ceiling was changed so that there is a solid ceiling around the perimeter with new ceiling tile in the center. A hard ceiling in the center accents three large pendant light fixtures. The existing stone clad marble located throughout on the walls remains.

The existing directory was replaced by a wall-mounted electronic directory and an accent wall features a flat screen television that appears to “float” off of the wall.  Ground floor restrooms were upgraded to be accessible single gender use.  New soft seating lounge furniture provides the final touch in the main lobby.
