Ling & Louie's Asian Bar and Grill

Ling & Louie’s is a collaboration between CSHQA, design firm Studio 32 and well-known restaurateur, Rex Chandler, owner of Chandler’s Restaurant, also designed by CSHQA and Studio 32.  The restaurant blends traditions of the Far East and West into one amazingly unique eatery.  With existing locations in Colorado and Arizona, this is the first Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill located in Idaho.

Asian-influenced design includes trellises throughout the building, a waterwall in the dining area, a floor-to-ceiling glass wall that completely opens to the outdoor patio, and flex space where glass wall panels are used to partition the dining area.

The 6,843 sf building earned Two Green Globes for its multiple green strategies, including:  a water heater with an energy-efficient, condensing boiler, low-emission furnaces and an underground seepage bed to filter storm water before it enters the soil and ground water.  The restaurant is designed to use 50% less energy than the average commercial building of similar size.
