Scott Hopkins, AIA, LEED AP

Senior Architect / Associate Principal

A demolition sparked Scott Hopkins’ interest in building. After reading a newspaper article about a historic house in Boise’s Hyde Park neighborhood that was slated for the wrecking ball, Scott developed a passion for preservation. The more he learned about architectural history, the more he appreciated architectural design.

As an architect at CSHQA, Scott has worked on retail projects and designed affordable housing that is meant to last for future generations. He finds it rewarding to see before-and-after photos of these projects, meet the tenants, and see how their new housing changes their outlook. Scott, a LEED AP, is also responsible for consulting with other architects about sustainable design certifications and processes.

Scott is at home in Boise’s Foothills, but he’s equally comfortable on stage: He played bass in a band for several years.
