Dave Davies, AIA

Senior Architect III / Senior Associate

Tonight, 2,500 senior citizens will go to sleep in an assisted care center that Dave Davies designed. Tomorrow, 5,000 students will enter a school building he helped create. Around 1,500 people will seek care in one of the clinics or hospital departments he worked on. Those numbers have kept this architect motivated for more than 35 years.

A Senior Architect and Project Manager with CSHQA, Dave works closely with principals and design teams to create government, education, and healthcare facilities. His experience in healthcare design goes back to the very start of his career when his father asked him to design a new corporate headquarters for his home health, durable medical equipment, and compounding pharmacy business. The experience not only drew him closer to his father, but set him on a path that he still follows today. As a strong supporter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Dave has held officer positions at the local, state, and national levels; currently, he represents over 350 Idaho AIA architects on the AIA Strategic Council in Washington DC.

Travel is Dave’s middle name. He’s also an accomplished oil painter—in fact, his works have been on display in CSHQA’s lobby. He is also passionate about education and serves as a school board member.
