Ben Millett’s earliest memory of architecture begins with Legos. After crafting an intricate house complete with a kitchen table, microwave, and refrigerator, his mom exclaimed, “You should become an architect!” He kept her words in the back of his mind but didn’t pursue her advice until he left his small town for college, where he began pursuing architecture.
Ben uses AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit to create walkthrough animations and renderings, and recently has been discovering how components of virtual reality can be used to help visualize spaces. He also enjoys putting together construction documents and taking a project from initial concepts to a physical building.
One of Ben’s greatest joys is his “beautiful” family, whom he calls the best support he could ever have. He’s a lover of music and the only son in a family of six children, so early on he decided to prove his manliness by becoming a percussionist. He’s been playing since 6th grade.
