Abbi Johnson’s grandmother, Deanne Johnson, did not attend college. But she did pursue an interior design path on her own, and left a powerful impression on her granddaughter. “She showed me how creative and resourceful you can be in the field and how many different opportunities are at hand,” Abbi says. Deanne showed Abbi how to practice living in the present moment, noting sounds, sights, thoughts, and feelings—a mindfulness practice that has taught Abbi how to be patient and open, traits that serve her well in her career.
As an interior designer in CSHQA’s Boise office, Abbi supports teams in interior design and architectural development with her skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop and space planning. She loves new innovations in materials and fabrics and is always researching and discovering new, more resourceful materials.
Abbi is a long-distance runner who thrives among lakes and mountains; she plans to run a full marathon in the near future. A longtime Idahoan, she carries her heritage in her middle name, Meabe, a nod to her Basque ancestors.
